Dive Sites

Stretching over 900  kms from the North Solomons (Papua New Guinea) into the south-west Pacific  and the Coral Sea, the Solomon Islands is an archipelago of mountains  reaching heights of 2447m and low-lying coral atolls with incredible diving. Stunning scenery, crystal-clear water, colourful towns and marketplaces and a fascinating villager/islander population of 300,000 makes this destination an exciting prospect. Renowned for its dive sites of corals and World War II wrecks, there is a wide range of dive operators and quality accommodation to choose from. Honiara is the capital city  on Guadalcanal acting as the hub for Solomon Airlines’ connecting flights to the 23 airports throughout the country. Nightlife is usually  quiet but most major hotels provide their own entertainment with a local  cultural theme. Shopping is limited mainly to Honiara but local artefacts  and handicraft can be found in most villages. The Solomon Islands is a  year-round paradise with an average temperature of 29C
