THE KENT GROUP

The Kent Group of island offers divers untouched locations. There are several wrecks in the area and many reef systems. These islands can be accessed from Tasmania on a live  aboard boat or from Victoria on the same. The group gets little diver  pressure due to it's remote location. Some areas feature granite cliffs above water that plunge straight into the water to depth.

THE FURNEAUX GROUP
Of the fifty or so islands that make up the Furneaux Group, Flinders Island is the largest. There is good shore diving here as well as boat diving. A large local population is welcoming to the traveler and a local dive facility is on hand. The islands are also accessible  via live aboard dive charters from Tasmania. Close to a hundred wrecks  have made the Furneaux Group their final resting place. Some of them have yet to be located.

BICHENO
Bicheno is well known for it's magnificent kelp beds and visibility. Miles of rocky coast line eliminates a lot of the sediment found in other waters and produces one of the best wide angle, temperate water  locations in the world. Bicheno is located on the east coast of Tasmania,  about 90 miles north of Hobart. A small fishing village, there is  a local dive service.

HOBART

The capital city of Hobart is an inviting  mixture of past and present. A modern city steeped in history. The  city is also a jump off spot for some fine diving. Many wrecks and  large kelp systems are a short boat ride away. Built on a idyllic harbor, Hobart offers dive charters and facilities to assist the traveling diver.

ROCKY CAPE
Accessed from the northern city of Wynard, Rocky Cape is a Fine dive location. Many spiny lobster are found here. When the conditions are  right this area and those adjacent to it offer some of Tasmania's finest.

KING ISLAND
King Island is another of Tasmania's inhabited neighbors. The resident dive service takes divers to the more than one hundred ships that have sunk near the island. Fed by the clear waters of the Bass Straight,  Some of the local sites have exceptional visability.
